⚽️ These World Cup Finals Odds Are Insane

England and Spain are set to face off in Sunday's World Cup finals, and books have the odds at almost even. Basically, regardless of who you bet on, you're winning the same amount of money if you pick the right team. You don't see that too often on the biggest stage...this should be fun 🔥 (2 min read)

God Save The Queen

We’re down to the final two, and before we get into a World Cup Finals preview, I just have to call out this absolute rocket of a goal from Australia’s Sam Kerr in Wednesday’s World Cup semi-final between England and Australia. Might be the best goal of the entire year 🦘

Kerr’s equalizer in the 63rd minute of play was sizzling as soon as it came off her boot, traveling 31.7 yards, which made it the longest goal of the Women’s World Cup knockout stage since 2019 🤝

  • But England managed to hold on, with Lauren Hemp scoring minutes after Kerr’s beauty. Alessia Russo would join in on the fun at the 86th minute to seal the deal

  • England will take on Spain in the final this Sunday at 6AM EST, the first WC finals appearance for both squads

The win puts Sarina Wiegman, England’s manager, in uncharted territory. She’s now brought two different countries to a World Cup finals, and four in a row if you count the last two Euros 💪

Going back to yesterday’s semis, it’s worth noting that Ella Toone would have had the goal of the game had it not been for Kerr’s shot. Marcus Rashford even had to show love - take a look at her curving rocket 👇

Oddsmakers think Sunday’s Spain vs. England matchup is essentially a toss up, with Spain opening as narrow favorites. The difference is so marginal that a bet on either team would earn you virtually the same payday 👀

  • Spain: -116 (bet $116 win, $100)

  • England: -102 (bet $102, win $100)

  • When: Sunday at 6AM EST on FOX

While many might be shocked at this matchup, considering the US were early title favorites at +250, Spain and England were right behind them at +350 and +500 🍿

It goes without saying that team USA had a disappointing run from where they were expected to finish, but Spain and England weren’t exactly underdogs. I think it’s safe to say that Australia and Sweden were the biggest risers during the tournament, and if Kerr didn’t get injured prior to the start of things, well who knows what might’ve happened? 🤷‍♀️

Trivia Question: Can you name all four countries that have won a Women’s World Cup?

For My Parlay Gurus

I have to be honest, I have no idea which direction I’m leaning in this one. Given how close the odds are, I’m going with the fun bet of either team winning in penalties. Give me a draw at half time as well to double down on the tightness of this match. Check it out 👇

  • Draw at halftime: -110

  • Either team to win in PKs: +390

$100 on this bet would win you $599 — if we hit, make sure you email [email protected] for a chance to win up to $100*. Many will enter, only some will win 😉
