🏀 Best Home Crowd In New York?

The Aces looked well on their way to a repeat in sweeping fashion, but the Liberty and their record-setting crowd flipped the momentum. Should we expect more of the same tonight in Game 4? Or will the Aces close it out and repeat? 🍿 (2 min read)

The WNBA Finals Continue

We’re less than a week away from the first tip of the NBA season, but before that happens, a WNBA champion is still waiting to be crowned. The Las Vegas Aces had a shot at the sweep last weekend…but the New York Liberty wouldn’t let that happen in front of their home crowd 😤

  • We already touched on how deep and dangerous this Vegas team is, and the favorites to repeat certainly lived up to the hype through the first two games of the Finals, outscoring the Liberty by 22.5 PPG while averaging over 100 themselves 😳

  • But the New York defense locked in at the Barclays Center, holding the Aces to just 73 points, while keeping their title hopes alive for at least one more game

It’s hard to decide who to credit more for the dominant Liberty victory — former MVP Jonquel Jones, who stuffed the stat sheet with 27 points, eight boards and three blocks…

…or the New York crowd, who packed the stands of the Barclays Center in record-setting fashion. The building was absolutely rocking 👇

On the court, Stewie was in MVP form for the Liberty as well, notching a casual 20-12 double-double. And although she can’t seem to buy a bucket this series, All-Star guard Sabrina Ionescu still made her mark by dishing out 11 assists 💪

  • Stewart and Jones proved they are more than capable of picking up the scoring slack, but for the Liberty to win the next two games in a row against a team as lethal as the Aces, they may need a vintage Ionescu performance - sooner rather than later (17 PPG in the regular season)

For Vegas, Kelsey Plum was sensational despite the lopsided loss, finishing with a game-high 29 points. But no one else on the entire team shot above 38% from the field, and to make matters worse, two of their starters picked up injuries 😬

A pair of tough blows for sure, but with the electric Wilson-Plum-Young trio ready to roll for the Aces, the Liberty will still have their hands full tonight. Check out how the lines are shaping up for a potential championship-clinching Game 4 👇

  • Spread: Liberty -5.5

  • Moneyline: Liberty -215, Aces +172

  • Over/Under: 168.5

For My Parlay Gurus

I was already rooting for a do-or-die Game 5 no matter what, but with the Barclays crowd looking like a legit game-changer and the Aces’ depth hurting a bit, I’ve got even more motivation to throw some change on the Liberty tonight. Check out this parlay 👇

  • Liberty -5.5 vs. Aces: -105

  • Over 168.5 total points: -118
